Our home Little Flower /AHG Iris Garden bloomed beautifully this year.
Our troop had two opportunities to serve the community by getting their hands dirty.
First, we helped pull the spent tulip bulbs from the beds at the Jewel Box in Forest Park. We were allowed to keep the bulbs we found as they were destined for the compost bin. We have hopes for an eventual flower sale, but we'll have to see how they hold up until Fall.
Next, we helped a parishioner weed their Iris Garden. In return, they fed us lunch and showed us their collection of historical military artifacts. I failed to get a picture while all helpers were present.
The Iris garden we adopted from the American Heritage Girls is now blocked off with fencing, making it more difficult to see, but we happened by once mid bloom.
