Grant's Farm

St. Francis of Assisi had a great love for all animals. In that same spirit, the Little Flowers of St. Peter went to Grant's Farm  on the beautiful day of June 18th where they fed, pet, and loved many animals up close. Very close! Unlike St. Francis, we didn't preach to the animals, but we did get to feed them.  While feeding them, the baby goats nipped on our shirts and shoelaces. The animals would huddle around people that they knew would bring them food, bringing to light the awesome relationship we have with God's creatures.  In Jesus's time,  people ran to Him in this way,  with a great need for nourishment. We run to Jesus in this same way today. What a great experience for our Little Flowers to have, showing the great value of our depency on God's creatures,  their depency on us,  and our great need for Christ to nourish us as his flock! St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us!
